Kalani Retreat Center

Our accommodations are rustic and simple, “jungle-chic” as we like to say! Located on the beautiful and lush Kalani Retreat Center,
this Private Cottage option includes: 1 King bed (or 2 twins) or
1king (or 2 twins) + 1 twin
it can accommodate up to 3 guests.
This arrangement is ideal for single travelers, couples or 3 friends traveling together.
Each open concept building has a spacious private bedroom with fresh linens and towels, an ensuite bathroom with shower (often though not always with a bathtub as well), and a surrounding landscape with either jungle or ocean views.
Each of our private cottages are artistically designed, and the photos here include several separate cottages to showcase the variety of unique designs at our center. Please note that cottages are reserved based on availability at the time of booking which may influence the style available.
Complimentary WiFi is available in guest rooms and at Hale Aloha.
Our expansive campus is a hub the wildlife, A symphony of bird songs are likely to greet you in the morning and our campus has various garden beds, tropical fruit trees, medicinal plants, fragrant flowers, native Hawaiian species and wildlife such as birds, geckos, insects, mongoose and wild pigs throughout its landscapes.
Nestled in lush jungles that hug the wild coastline along the scenic Red Road of Puna, Kalani is in close proximity to many natural wonders such as black sand beaches and lava fields from the 2018 lava eruption, and about 20 minutes from the charming shops, grocery stores, and restaurants of the historic town of Pāhoa.
We highly recommend renting a vehicle for exploring the vast natural splendor, delicious local fare in town, and hidden treasures of our rural area.

GLAMPING ON SITE:
Glamping Tickets includes everything you need to arrive and simply be. Step into a beautifully styled Bell tent complete with a cozy queen mattress, sheets & blankets and soft lighting, All Glamping passes will include access to shared bathrooms hot showers. The Bell Tent will be all set up for you. Glamping tents can sleep 2-4 people. We can two queen size beds in each tent or twins

CAMPING:
Tent or car / van camping is welcome.
We have a limited amount of campsites so claim your spot ASAP.
All campsites are chosen on a first come first serve basis.
Please bring all your own camping equipment.
All Camping passes will include hot showers and bathrooms .
in Car / Van camping is permitted. Please email us if you wish to car camp. Camping in a car or tent is $77 per person ( not per Tent) for all 3 nights. There are no individual camping nights available.
Off Site Options
There are many beautiful houses and rooms to rent nearby the festival grounds. Consider renting an Airbnb or VRBO property in these nearby neighborhoods: Leilani Estates, Sea View, Pahoa, Hawaiian Paradise Park, Kalapana, Keaau, Hawaian Paradise Park or near Pohoiki. They are all a lettle drive away from the festival grounds. You will likely need to rent a car if you are not staying on site.
How to get there:
Kalani Oceanside Retreat Center is located in the rural Puna District on the Big Island of Hawai‘i about a 50 min drive from Hilo and a 2.5 hour drive from Kona, nestled along forests, lava fields and coastlines on the scenic 137 highway known as the Red Road.
